Thanks to Michael Mann for putting the briskets put on at 2am Saturday morning and stoking the fire throughout the night to cook to perfection, along with concession staffing by Michael Mann, James Jones, Earnest Cooper, Derrick Skinner, Josh Evanski, Terra Troxell, Heather Rexford, Lyndi Turner, Kelsey Brann, Richard & Denise Mann, Leslie Lundquist, and Sue Freed. Most all players worked the games on the fields.

The Bearkats had a very successful trip to Florida. They now have their sights on the National Tournament and are anticipated to receive their invite. Therefore, they need to fund raise to help with the expenses of that May trip.

This event is a booster supported event. Therefore help is needed in way of donations for concessions and in the purchase of BBQ dinners. The team is responsible for set-up, take-down, and staffing all the areas.Concession items needed by Saturday,11 am at the field include:

The 2013 Season is here! The regular season schedule kicked off on Sunday, January 27. With a heavy spring schedule, the Bearkats are scheduled to travel to Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, March 8-13, for the Sailfish Tournament, where they will play four games, Saturday-Tuesday. Fundraising is needed to help with charter bus, lodging and tournament fees.
Support for the team can be made through donations, booster club memberships, and merchandise.

** Houston Astros Game
DEADLINE for Ticket Orders: Monday, April 9th
SHSU Men’s Lacrosse along with Rec Sports announces they will be hosting the first ever Club Sports Day at the Astros game on Sunday, April 22 (1:05pm). “This could be a really exciting event, and can also be a great opportunity for fundraising!” says Steven Wright, Associate Director of Rec Sports. “If enough Club Sports members attend the game (at least 150), they will bring all of our Club Sports athletes down onto the field before the game begins and introduce our group (SHSU Club Sports). If this happens, they will also announce which one of our clubs sold the most tickets.”
As for the fundraising aspect, we can raise funds for Bearkat Men’s Lacrosse by selling tickets to the game. There are about 300 tickets available (all of sections 256, 257, and 258). These tickets are located on the second deck, right above the Astros bullpen in right center field. These tickets are normally sold for $21/ticket, but they have sold them to us for $12/ticket. The Astros recommend us selling each ticket for $21, therefore we will make the $9 difference for our fundraising account for every ticket we sell. These tickets are available to anyone (family, friends, neighbors, youth teams, co-workers, etc). All athletes that want to attend the game, must have a ticket purchased.
In addition to the $9 we will make for every ticket sold, we have the opportunity to earn an extra bonus. Club Sports will award $500 to the team that sells the most tickets and $250 to the team that sells the 2nd most amount of tickets. Therefore, we must sell as many tickets as possible BY the April 9th DEADLINE! Unsold tickets must be returned to the Astros the next day.
So, enjoy some baseball and support our men’s lacrosse program! Purchase as many tickets as you wish, through the Buy Now button below … payment can be made via PayPal account or by Credit/Debit card. SHSU lacrosse players and parents, remember a ticket for SHSU Lacrosse players is needed!
