On Saturday, April 16, 2011, Sam Houston Bearkat Men’s Lacrosse will host the 1st Annual Spring JV Jam at the historic Pritchett Fields on the Sam Houston State University campus. This round-robin style tournament will host eight junior varsity teams, and each team will be guaranteed three games. The location for these games is ideal for teams from the Austin/San Antonio, Dallas and Houston area wanting to minimize expenses with a one-day trip. Games will begin at 10:00am and will finish by 4:30pm.
The SHSU Men’s Lacrosse team would like to start a tradition of providing quality youth lacrosse events on our beautiful campus.
We plan for this to be the start of a continuing tradition to support the sport we have all grown up loving. The proceeds generated from these events will be used to support the SHSU Men’s Lacrosse program. This year the proceeds from this event will be specifically used to help fund our anticipated trip to the MCLA National Tournament in Denver later in May.
