Baylor & Oklahoma Coming To Town!

Sam Houston Men’s Lacrosse opens its season this weekend with two MCLA Division I teams coming to town!

Baylor game is Saturday (Feb 20) at Pritchett with a face off time of 1pm.  The Bears come in with a 3-1 record with wins over LSU, Rice and Memphis.  Their only loss is to Alabama in a tough overtime game.

Oklahoma has only a scrimmage game against Hendrix (NCAA Division III) and will face Rice on Saturday before coming to Sam Houston. Game time is 11am on Sunday, the 21st.

Coach Fritts commented “It’s our first time on a full field since the A&M tournament last November under real game conditions.  We move up to Division I in 2011 so this is a great way to start getting acclimated to the faster and more talented level.  The weekend will be a great test for us to see how prepared we are and to prove that we deserve our national ranking.  Biggest factor right now is to pray that the rain stays far away!”
